The color isn't perfect, but let's hear it for my plucky little scanner that enabled this patch job! I defy you to find the seam (I probably won't send you five dollars in the mail if you can, but I might consider it). Inspired by these book plates I had when I was younger - this wasn't originally intended to be an illustration for anything (just botanical noodling), but what the heck, I was having so much fun on my sexy expensive paper. So! Watercolor! That is all folks.
Oh this is just so nice! All the wonderful foliage as a texture brings it together. I love how vibrant it is as well. Sometimes watercolor can be washed out... but this is so crisp. It makes me miss watercolor and expensive paper.
I wouldn't have noticed it if you hadn't dared me to look for it though. Spotted an inconsistancy in the ear and made a line to see if others followed.
Also, this is mighty perdy, I must say. Sooo much detail, holy cow. And the colours, UNF. I love the little fox-things. C:

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
