Shadowrider (Painting Only)

Hi all! Sorry in advance for the spam-a-lama-ding-dong. The version with text really is pretty different. This was just for fun; I'm trying, when painting for myself, to do things I'd like to do for clients, and really who wouldn't enjoy doing MG/YA covers? I know this isn't the current style but there's only so many photo covers with anachronistic detailing I can take (a friend of mine who works in a library once thrust a book under my nose and was like, "IT'S SET OVER A HUNDRED YEARS AGO AND HER HOT PINK BRA STRAP IS SHOWING", so yeah, there's that). Mind you this isn't particularly historical. It's set, I guess, in ?history?. I also HATE that castle. I covered it with copy on the other edition. Yess, sweet sweet copy.

Huge thanks to whoever arranged/took an amazing reference photo which I discovered on my hard drive. Sadly I do not know who to give credit to, as I saved images every-which-way back then and didn't record any useful information. Ah youth. Happy to do so, though, if I or anyone else figures out the source!
