Reindeer and Girl

What?? Why NOW???

Oh I don't know, but I had my first free weekend in several months and I painted a girl and a reindeer hanging out and it felt like a card so it is now. This was a painting adventure. First, whatever I stretched, it wasn't watercolor paper. It did not like watercolor paint, but take that, paper, I painted on you anyhow! Secondly, the paint that I thought was cadmium red (I leave old paint on my palette and use it cheerfully weeks later because lazy/cheap) was actually rose madder and all my reds ended up closer to magenta than expected; I can't look at magenta in a winter scene without my monkey brain immediately offering "LIKE FROZEN" so I moved it towards a truer red in digital.
