Luna Sit by lemonflower Luna Sit by lemonflower
WAH colors are bright. Interior, because I need to do interiors; repeat of the "Luna Run" child because my teacher said so; inspired by Persian palaces on account of how they are inspiring; and pangolins! HOORAY FOR PANGOS.

Aww, yey, pangolin love ;u;! Nice job on those shiny scales, what <3. And Luna's such an expressive thing...I love the angle of his face and how his hair is painted in. That interior is also gorgeous and does a great job framing the characters--it's not overly detailed, but certainly not neglected! Bravo!

Thanks so much! That's so sweet! It's hard to go wrong with photo reference of Persian castles. ^^

Pangolins! Adorable!
Why do they seem to fit into the environment so well?

A good sense of space. Lovely.

Digital art? If this really is digital then you have really made it look very well like traditional. Any tips on that other than texture? :D Great work anyway, nice bright colors and pure lines in the whole work.

Actually, it's a watercolor painting put on multiply with digital underneath! The paper is 140 pound Arches cold press. You could basically make a winter coat out of it - I love it.

Oh wow, such an unusual method... and such great results.

So what exactly is the digital part? The lineart? Some of the finer details in colouring?

I do a full watercolor painting, scan it, set it on multiply...and digitally paint it again underneath. It's not super-fast but it gives a lot of control! Thanks. : )

i think the walls far away could've used some decorating as well, it kinda looks WIP in that part.

You're really amazing when it comes to colours and compositions. The background for this one is also very good looking. :)
