The colors are so beautifully vivid, and I love the calm, just a touch smug look of the bandit himself. I can't help but wonder what's in his boat -- is it an egg? An opal stolen from the boudoir of a duchess? A decorative bauble left abandoned at the Glassmaker's guild? I feel like there's a story behind the scenes...
